We recognize that children feel secure and safe when there is consistency and stability in the world around them.  We will introduce children to simple rules and help them to follow those rules through encouragement, praise, and positive rewards.  The basic school rules are:

1.  Be kind to classmates and adults.

2.  Keep our hands and feet to ourselves.

3.  Use respectful language and action towards others and the environment.

Each classroom at TCP has a "safe place" where students are able to visit when they feel overwhelmed or upset.  A small basket will be found in this area of the classroom with some tools for the student to use to help them calm down.

We also utilize the bucket filling program at TCP to encourage positive reinforcement, as well as build a positive relationship with parents and teachers.
